ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do
As our new Financial Controller, you’ll be a key strategic partner to the Finance Director – helping shape the financial future of the business. From overseeing reporting cycles to leading system integrations and mentoring the next generation of finance talent, your influence will be felt across the company.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Leading monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting across P&L and balance sheet
- Driving budgeting and forecasting processes (revenue, costs, headcount, CAPEX, D&A)
- Managing revenue recognition and performing insightful variance analysis
- Overseeing accounting platform migrations and adoption
- Streamlining finance operations and standardising processes across the business
- Monitoring AR, bad debts, and managing the debt collection process
- Supporting audits, statutory accounts, and SOX compliance
- Leading and developing junior finance team members
- Playing a key role in integrations, BAU processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Producing high-quality ad-hoc reports and analysis to inform decision-making
QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with 5+ years post-qualification experience
- A strong track record as a Financial Controller or Assistant FC
- Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
- Confident working across international teams with multi-currency reporting
- Hands-on with financial systems like Oracle Fusion, Xero, PeopleSoft or similar
- Advanced Excel skills and an analytical mindset
- A keen eye for process improvement and systems optimization
Bonus Points For
- Experience in Insurance, SaaS, tech, or data/analytics industries
- Familiarity with tools such as Oracle Fusion, Concur, Daptiv, and Xero
- Background in change management, systems integration, or transformation projects
