Tax Manager Finance - Piccadilly Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive and Benefits

Our Head Office department is located in the heart of Piccadilly and occupies the 5th & 6th floor of our beautiful flagship store. This central London location, offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.

Role Purpose:

  • To ensure the company stays compliant across all jurisdictions (direct and indirect taxes)
  • To provide expert advice and guidance to all internal and external stakeholders
  • To maximise capital allowances
  • Be the main point of contact for tax advisors, HMRC and overseas tax authorities
  • Provide timely updates on tax developments

Key Accountabilities:

  • All tax returns across all jurisdictions, including VAT, Corporation tax, GST, Excise & Duties
  • Compliance will all local regulations, including registrations and reporting requirements
  • Proactive communication with the Group tax specialists, agreeing annual allowance split between the companies within the group
  • Provide training and guidance to the internal teams, including compliance with Corporate Criminal Offence act
  • Sign off sales VAT rate on F&M product range
  • Reviewing and enhancing internal controls around tax on domestic and import/export transactions
  • Property taxes, ie stamp duties and rates
  • Employment taxes and benefits
  • Reconciliation of all tax accounts on a periodic basis

We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • In depth knowledge of UK tax legislations
  • Understanding on international tax regulations related to trade, employment and permanent establishment
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to details
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent excel skills
  • At least 5 years of tax management experience
  • Ability to work within a dynamic fast-paced environment

Desirable

  • ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
  • Retail experience
