Overview:
Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice, is seeking a Corporate Services Manager to join their growing team based in Bury St Edmunds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified professional with strong audit and accounts experience to manage a portfolio of clients and mentor a team within a supportive and dynamic environment.

You’ll be working with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, and owner-managed businesses. This role combines technical delivery, client relationship management, and team leadership – ideal for someone looking to take their next step in practice management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, typically with turnovers ranging from £5m–£25m+

  • Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, corporate tax returns, management accounts, and audit files

  • Attend client premises as required to understand operations and build relationships

  • Supervise and review the work of junior staff, providing mentoring and guidance

  • Take ownership of job budgets, billing, and compliance deadlines

  • Identify and act on opportunities to provide additional services to clients

  • Contribute to business development and represent the firm at networking events

  • Participate in internal working groups and help shape best practice and service quality

  • Play a hands-on role in recruitment, training, and performance management of team members


About You:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (recently qualified professionals with strong skills also considered for lower level roles)

  • Experience in audit and accounts preparation within a UK practice environment

  • Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Confident communicating directly with clients and managing relationships

  • Able to manage workloads and mentor junior colleagues

  • Self-motivated, commercially aware, and keen to contribute to a collaborative team culture
