You’ll be working with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, and owner-managed businesses. This role combines technical delivery, client relationship management, and team leadership – ideal for someone looking to take their next step in practice management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, typically with turnovers ranging from £5m–£25m+
Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, corporate tax returns, management accounts, and audit files
Attend client premises as required to understand operations and build relationships
Supervise and review the work of junior staff, providing mentoring and guidance
Take ownership of job budgets, billing, and compliance deadlines
Identify and act on opportunities to provide additional services to clients
Contribute to business development and represent the firm at networking events
Participate in internal working groups and help shape best practice and service quality
Play a hands-on role in recruitment, training, and performance management of team members
About You:
ACA or ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (recently qualified professionals with strong skills also considered for lower level roles)
Experience in audit and accounts preparation within a UK practice environment
Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting standards
Confident communicating directly with clients and managing relationships
Able to manage workloads and mentor junior colleagues
Self-motivated, commercially aware, and keen to contribute to a collaborative team culture
